Friends and Family Will Insist You Go Hunting!

Canaan is in central Maine, half way between Augusta and Bangor off I95 or Skowhegan and Newport on Rt2. We are a little over 3 hours from Boston.

All linens, towels, sheets, blankets, etc are included. Cabins have full baths with showers. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker in the cabins.

This is one of my favorite things to do. We have all of the equipment you need and since you don't need a hunting license on our preserve, all you have to do is call and make an appointment. We start out with basic gun safety, an intro to clay target shooting and then move onto bird hunting.

This depends on the time of year. Since we are open 7 days a week we have more options. Prime fall dates book early, so as soon as you have a date in mind, give me a call.

We don't allow more than 3 guns in a hunting area at a time for safety reasons. We have several hunting areas.

I usually recommend a minimum of three birds per hunter. We work with bird packages and birds can always be added to your package when you get here.

For a day outing we can handle groups of 30+ depending on the time of year and event. For overnight outings, the cabins can sleep 10-12 and there is plenty of room for pitching a tent.

Our hunts are priced according to bird packages. The 2 and 4 hour hunt times are really just a rough idea of how long the hunts will last. You can easily do a 2 hour hunt for 3 people
