There are many things for you to do in the Kennebec Valley and Moose River region and we are located in the heart of it all. Enjoy hiking our private trails or the many local trails. Go fishing in the great Kennebec or Sebasticook Rivers or many of the local lakes and ponds which are regularly stocked by the Dept of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. These same waters are great places to enjoy canoeing and kayaking and taking in the wildlife. Check out our Activities page for more info.

We also offer guide services for hunting trips for whitetail deer, turkeys, grouse, woodcock, and waterfowl. Our upland hunting preserve gives us opportunities for pheasants 7 days a week starting in August. For information on hunting season and license fees go to the Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife website. You can also buy your license online.

Where To Find Us

Silverton Sporting Ranch is located just 20 minutes off I95 exit 133. This means you spend less time getting to your destination and more time relaxing and exploring. Half way between Augusta and Bangor and 2.5 hours from Kittery.

Sporting Clays

Never tried sporting clays or clay target shooting? We can help you get started. We start with an introduction to gun safety, gun fit and mount and then on to targets flying thru the air. We have all equipment and certified instructors. Call today to make your reservation.

Join us September 11th for our Annual Waterfowl Warmup Shoot.  Targets will be set to simulate incoming geese and ducks, flaring birds, ducks on the river and more. Shoot for layout blinds and blinds to get ready or just come and enjoy breaking targets. It's just $25 for all you can shoot. New this year will be a triples competition and a long bird competition.

We are proud to be offering our 4th Annual FREE Youth Sporting Clays Shoot, September 18th at 9am. Kids get 25 targets on the 5 stand and 50 on the sporting clays course. We just ask that they bring one box of ammo and we provide all the rest including lunch. Kids will receive a free Cabelas hat and a chance at one of 10 Cabelas gift cards.
